Advancements of Liberation
Triple Gatefold LP
A triple gatefold LP Record Jacket made as part of the thesis project for Graphic Design my senior year at UIC.
The concept behind this project was to create packaging for what would be an oral history of advancements in America between 1929 and 1960. These advancements would be split into three chapters, with each chapter having its own record and dedicated panel. The illustrations and writings found on each black and white panel introduce the content of its corresponding record. The writing on the final color panel summarizes the release as a whole.
The images on the outside of the package are a careful combination of self-made illustrations and a collage of imagery from various online sources. The black and white images on the inside are also from various online sources. While the topics were assigned to me, from those topics I chose the common thread for representing the whole, as well as composed the release title, section titles, and the introduction writings for the child labor and whole release sections.
