We have started recording for our new full-length at Bricktop Studios in Chicago! Check out some pictures of us in the studio. Drums and bass are all done, and were now working on guitar. 10 songs is going to take us about 10 weeks I think, but I'm excited for the results.
We are also playing a Chicago show at The Empty Bottle next Wednesday 8.17 with House Sounds at 9:30. It's FREE if you send an email to rsvp@emptybottle.com with Maribelle in the subject. Check out the facebook event, or view the flyer!

Today we head out for a 5 day East Coast trip to New York and back! Check out the dates! Follow our tour updates on Twitter or Facebook, and check out the new recordings on Bandcamp!
Plans are made to hit the studio in July at Bricktop Studios to record 4 new songs in combination with studio versions of the 5 Pre-Release songs.

We just returned from our six day southern tour with Spells and had a great time! Our new recordings are also now available. A 5 song pre-release. Take a listen now on Bandcamp!

Today I posted two new songs on our MySpace, Facebook and Bandcamp!
These songs are from an upcoming release available this summer, and a pre-release shorter version that will be available at our 6 tour dates, which we kick off next week with Spells! Hope to see you in your town soon!

Happy Valentines Day! I actually really don't like this holiday, but I just happened to be posting today, so...more importantly, we have two shows coming up in Chicago. On the 16th at Summercamp, and the 18th at Treasure Town.
We are also in the process of booking a 4 day weekend the last week of March, heading south with our friends SPELLS. We'll be going to Nashville and Memphis with a show on the way there and back. Hope to see you then!

Maribelle has officially begun playing out in the new format, with new members and new songs. We played our first "electric" show in Chicago a couple of months ago, and are on the path to recording in the near future.
O'er the Waves has also recently released our first recording and posted the entire record on Bandcamp. It's 8 songs available digitally or on CD entitled "Underneath the Window". Sarah and I are both really proud of this, so make sure to check it out!

We have made our first ever music video for the song "Please" from our LP "With Teeth Sharp As Old Friends"! Watch it now on Vimeo or YouTube! The video for "Please" was filmed at the Grand Canyon while on tour during the summer of 2010 and edited by Aaron upon returning home. Hope you enjoy it!
As I work on new Maribelle songs, Sarah and I will be playing our first show with a new side project, currently titled O'er the Waves, on Sept. 26th at Cafe Mustache in Chicago. This band will feature myself on drums, and her as the primary vocalist and piano player. I'm pumped!

In the art world, I recently finished working on a collaborative work out video with Chicago musicians The Hood Internet, and artist/ organizer Jake Myers. Video to be screened summer 2010.
