WORK is a financial and lifestyle survey of artists and musicians that will break from the conventions of standard surveys. Each participant must volunteer their identity, along with personal information about their background, sources of income, cost of living, and financial losses or gains made through various creative ventures.
The spectrum of participants will range from the financially and socially successful, to the unsuccessful but active. All of the participants will be hand chosen by E. Aaron Ross.
The final product will be available in print as a simple black and white publication, with the results displayed in alphabetical order according to last name (accompanied by a table of contents and index). All participants will be given equal weight within the pages of the publication. There will be no summarizing charts and graphs or analysis of the data in any way aside from whatever comparisons the reader chooses to make. There is also a possibility that these results will be available through the WORK website in the future, although this is still being considered.
WORK is a currently ongoing project of E. Aaron Ross, a musician and artisit living in Chicago, Illinois. Issue 1 is in the stage of information gathering. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments, but do not try to login if you have not been supplied with a password. This part of the process is done by hand in order to verify the identity of each participant. Thank you.
